About Me

Since I was small, I’ve loved to tell stories. Now, as an adult, I’ve turned that passion into a career in journalism.

I grew up by the ocean in White Rock on the unceded traditional territories of the Semiahmoo First Nation. In 2019, during my first year of university, I lived in the UK studying media and communications before returning home to complete the rest of my studies.

I graduated from Simon Fraser University with a degree in communication with honours and distinction, and delivered the graduate address at my convocation. Through my studies, I developed an interest in news, and after my degree, I began my next journey at BCIT, graduating with a diploma in broadcast and online journalism in 2026. Communication gave me the foundation to research and investigate, and studying journalism allowed me to put those skills into practice through the stories I write.

I’ve had the privilege of working at Knowledge Network, Chek News, CBC Vancouver, and CBC Toronto during a six-week internship on the show As It Happens. I have also volunteered at the 2025 Junos Awards as a talent wrangler.

I take pride in my ability to speak to anybody and everybody. As a journalist, I commit to upholding Call to Action #84 and advocating for those whose voices haven’t been heard. I enjoy writing daily and features as well as producing long-form content in the form of podcasts.

When I’m not chasing stories, you can find me with my Kindle in hand or logging movies on Letterboxd.
